Red, White & Blue
Between the World Cup (Go USA!) and the Fourth of July, the amount of red, white, and blue being worn is overwhelming. I chose to showcase three different looks that can be worn throughout the next week (and beyond) to any of your #America(n) events. If you're not into wearing a full out American flag like me, there are several options to show your pride without being so flashy. The first look I put together is perfect for casual cook-outs, fireworks, or even the next soccer game. It has the right amount of being patriotic without having to wear stars and stripes. If the bright sandals or blue necklace aren't for you, try a pair of converse or swap the necklace for something more muted. The next look is a more dressed up look that is perfect for day-time events (parades, cook-outs, brunch) and your nighttime parties. The flowy high-waisted red shorts are bold and fun. Pairing it with a nautical striped crop is cute and flattering. I love these loafers as they add to the nautical theme but they can be switched for any sandal or strappy flat. If the stripes against the red are too vibrant for you try a regular tee or a casual button down tucked into the front to show off the high-waisted aspect of the shorts. For the last look, I put together a wrap skort with a beautiful cropped blouse that has all sorts of red, white and blues in it which hits just above the waist. This look is perfect if you have plans to watch fireworks somewhere more upscale or are going out to dinner, etc. I paired it with heels and a clutch but to dress it down, try pairing it with sandals. All three of these looks are perfect for anything you have coming up and can be worn beyond the fourth allowing them to become apart of your Summer rotation. I hope you all have a wonderful and safe fourth of July! Let me know which one of these looks you try for the holiday in the comments below.
